Our main desire is to connect children to the truth of God’s Word, so that they can grow into a relationship with Him. We want every child to have such a great time that they want to come back again and again. We continually present children with God’s Word to help them understand truth, apply it to their lives, and to show how the whole Bible is telling one big story about Jesus.
We will, on a regular basis, share the incredible truth of the Gospel. This truth, that God sent His Son, Jesus, into a world of people who were separated from Him by their sins. Jesus died to pay the price for those sins and anyone who accepts God’s gift of salvation, through faith, has eternal life. It is our joy and privilege to be able to teach foundational truth to our nursery children with the goal of fostering a strong, lifelong walk with Christ. Each week our nursery team will pray with and for the children, sing songs, and read age-appropriate Bible stories.
Preschool classes are available Sunday morning at the 10:45 service, and childcare is available through registration, during adult Bible studies and special events. For more information, please email our Children’s Ministry Directer, Danielle, at [email protected] or our Children’s Ministry Assistant at [email protected]
We understand the need for safety in today’s society. Therefore, we run full background screenings on all of our workers on an annual basis. We also have an electronic check-in system for all children.
In addition to our Life Groups, we have targeted Adult Bible Studies for both men and women as well as coed Adult Sunday School Classes (to be resumed soon). In each of these ministries, you will connect with Christians who will encourage you to grow in your faith, and learn more about who Jesus is and what He desires for our lives. Our goal is that every member of Tomball Bible Church would become connected in disciple-making relationships. These gatherings are key ways to make those connections. We don’t expect anyone to participate in all of these studies, but getting connected in one will go a long way to make you feel at home here and to help you move forward in your relationship with Jesus. God of Deliverance – Jen Wilkins
“The exodus of the Israelites shapes our understanding of the whole Bible, its themes reverberating all the way to Revelation. Exodus is the birth narrative of a nation unmistakably guided by the Great Deliverer.
In this 10-session verse-by-verse study of Exodus 1–18, Jen Wilkin shows us that Israel’s story is our story: the same God who delivered Israel also delivers all those He loves from slavery to sin and from service to the pharaohs of this world. He lifts our eyes to the promised land He has prepared where we dwell with I AM and worship Him as the one true God.”
We are offering the study on Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings.
“Return to Me, and I Will Return to You” – Brett Wilson
Join with other men from TBC on Monday nights at 7pm to dive into some rarely read, but powerful sections of the Old Testament. This men’s study will return in the Fall.
” complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.”
Please join us as we develop skills to come alongside others and reach them with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
As an element of reaching others, we are now offering 2 discipleship
courses developed by Entrust Ministries.
Developing a Discerning Heart (DDH) and Facilitating Relational Learning (FRL)
DDH – This module explores God’s design of men and women as image-bearers of God and the far-reaching effects of the Fall. It studies the life-changing impact of Christ’s redemption and its effects not only on man’s thirst for God but also on each person’s mind, will, and emotions. It looks at the new identify we have in Christ and how that enables us to live redeemed lives and, in turn, help others in their own growth process
FRL – This module addresses the unique needs of adult learners. This discussion-based training facilitates relationships through dialogue in order to better understand content and stimulate maturity in Jesus Christ. Each participant receives hands-on experience in facilitating multiple discussions and receives meaningful feedback from peers.
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”2 Timothy 2:2
The focus of Equipping courses, or modules, is the maturity of character and ministry skills through the study of God’s Word, in-depth relationships, and guided practice sessions.
We are a family
We believe that God created us to be in community and saved us to be a part of His family, the Church. We are committed to pursuing deep relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ. That is why we want every believer to be a part of a Life Group that meets regularly outside of our Sunday morning gathering. Our Life Groups have a much larger purpose than simply developing friendships; therefore, we focus our groups on building biblical community, fostering life-on-life discipleship relationships, and engaging their neighborhoods together on mission.
Coed Life Groups are available several nights a week, meeting in homes and on campus.
If you are interested in joining a Life Group, please fill out this form and you will be contacted by a member of our Life Group Team. We hope you make the choice to invest deeply into the family God has graciously given us in Christ.
If you have questions regarding Life Groups, please email our Life Group Team directly.
At Tomball Bible Church, our goal is to see every nation reached with the Gospel of Jesus. When Jesus commanded His followers to “make disciples of all nations”, He communicated God’s passion for all peoples. Because God has chosen to redeem people from every tribe and tongue, we are committed to leveraging our collective energy and resources to world missions. We pursue this goal in three strategic ways.
Mission Education & Missionary Development
The first and most obvious element of our missions strategy is to regularly communicate the priority for the Church to focus on global ministry. It is our goal to so embed missions into the life of our church that we consistently raise up men and women committed to and prepared for cross-cultural missions.
At Tomball Bible Church, a significant portion of our general funds go to support cross-cultural missionaries who strive to advance the Gospel in the name of Jesus, as an extension of our ministry. We have missionaries on almost every continent, who are engaged in various ministries – from translating the Bible into new languages so that the Gospel can be preached, to training local pastors and leaders, to serving the Church in other parts of the world. We view this partnership as vital and ask for your continued prayers for our supported missionaries. If you would like to see a list of our supported missionaries, please click here. You can also visit our World Mission map in the foyer of our Auditorium to pick up a card with information about them, their family and recent prayer requests.
A key element to raising up and supporting our missionaries is our involvement directly in their ministry. Through short-term mission experiences, we serve our global partners and provide opportunities for our congregation to grow in their passion for world missions.
The best way to get involved is to connect with our Missions Team. The Missions Team serves the church in evaluating missionaries for support, hosting our visiting missionaries, and championing the call for global disciple-making to our congregation.
By God’s grace to our area, there are a number of great ministries that serve our city and advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to develop lasting partnerships with those ministries as a means of working together with other Christians to serve our city. We encourage our members and attenders to consider serving our city through these partners.
